Simranjit Singh, 30, brings over 15 years of experience in pure, authentic Punjabi folk Bhangra. His journey began in 2005 when he first performed on stage during his school’s annual function. His talent was quickly recognized—during a family function, he was spotted by a seasoned Bhangra veteran who encouraged him to pursue dance more seriously. From that moment onward, Simranjit became a core performer in every school Bhangra event.
When he moved into college, Simranjit immediately became a key member of the college Bhangra team. During this time, he also began teaching Bhangra in Delhi—at a time when very few instructors were formally teaching folk technique. He quickly became known as the go-to person for proper form, movement breakdowns, and cultural authenticity.
In 2017, Simranjit partnered with the Royal Academy of Punjab, a milestone that helped him later transition to Canada as a full-time instructor. He represented the Academy at competitions such as Bhangra Revolution, where his performances showcased high skill, discipline, and strong stage presence.
Over the years, Simranjit has become a pillar of the Royal Academy of Punjab community, teaching students aged 5 to 50 and building loyal, long-term relationships with families. His teaching is rooted in patience, precision, and respect for tradition. He understands the fine details of folk movement and ensures every student learns Bhangra the way it was meant to be—authentically.
His philosophy is clear:
“If you bring the effort, I’ll bring the technique.”
Today, Simranjit leads training at the New Delhi location with a vision to shape a strong, disciplined, and culturally connected generation of Bhangra dancers in India.
