Celebrating BC Day: Honouring the Province We Proudly Call Home
Happy BC Day from the Royal Academy of Punjab!
BC Day is an opportunity to celebrate the people, places, and cultures that make British Columbia one of the most diverse and welcoming provinces in Canada. It is a day to reflect on the values of inclusion, community, respect, and shared heritage that bring us together.
At the Royal Academy of Punjab, we are proud to call British Columbia home. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and educate communities about the rich traditions of Punjabi culture through dance, music, language, and cultural education. Every class, performance, workshop, and community event is an opportunity to build understanding, strengthen connections, and inspire future generations.
British Columbia’s multicultural spirit allows communities from around the world to celebrate their unique identities while contributing to the province’s vibrant cultural landscape. We are grateful to be part of that journey and to share the beauty of Punjabi heritage with thousands of students, families, schools, and community organizations across the province.
This year has been especially meaningful for our organization as we continue expanding access to Punjabi folk arts and cultural education. We remain committed to creating opportunities where young people can develop confidence, leadership, cultural pride, and a strong sense of belonging through meaningful arts education.
As we celebrate BC Day, we extend our sincere appreciation to our dedicated teachers, volunteers, students, parents, alumni, supporters, and community partners. Your passion and commitment help keep our traditions alive while creating a more connected and inclusive British Columbia.
Together, we celebrate not only our differences but the values that unite us as one community.
From all of us at the Royal Academy of Punjab, we wish everyone a joyful, safe, and memorable BC Day.
Happy BC Day!
