Royal Academy of Punjab offers structured Bhangra and Giddha dance training for youth ages 5–20. Our youth programs combine authentic Punjabi folk arts with age-appropriate instruction, creating a space where young people grow not just as dancers, but as disciplined, confident, culturally connected individuals.
We offer in-person classes in Surrey (BC), Calgary (AB), and New Delhi (India).
At Royal Academy of Punjab, we believe that the best time to discover your heritage is when you're young. Our youth Bhangra and Giddha programs are designed with age-specific structure, qualified instructors, and a clear pathway from beginner to performance level — so every student can grow at their own pace while staying connected to something meaningful.
From the energy and power of Bhangra to the grace and expressiveness of Giddha, our youth classes offer something rare: a place where culture, movement, and community come together.
The benefits of Bhangra and Giddha training extend far beyond the dance floor. Our programs are designed to develop the whole student — physically, mentally, and culturally.

Here's what families can expect:
We communicate regularly with families and take our responsibility to your child's growth seriously — as dance teachers, cultural stewards, and mentors.

Many of our students begin with no dance experience at all. Some go on to represent Royal Academy of Punjab at major festivals, competitions, and cultural events across Canada. Whether your child dances purely for the joy of it or has their sights set on the stage, our youth programs support their growth at every level. Advancement is based on attendance, dedication, and skill readiness — not simply time spent in the program. This ensures that every student who performs does so with genuine confidence and preparation behind them.
Spaces in our youth programs are limited to maintain the quality of instruction and attention your child deserves. We encourage families to register early.
