Happy Thanksgiving from Royal Academy of Punjab! 🍁
Celebrating Gratitude, Culture, Family, and Community
As Thanksgiving brings families and communities together across Canada, Royal Academy of Punjab takes this opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has been part of our journey.
Thanksgiving reminds us that some of life’s greatest gifts are not material things, but the people who support us, the traditions that shape us, and the opportunities we have to learn and grow.
At Royal Academy of Punjab, we are fortunate to witness these gifts every day through the smiles of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the encouragement of families who believe in preserving Punjabi arts and heritage.
A Special Thank You to Our Parents
Behind every young dancer and musician is a family that believes in their potential.
To our parents, thank you for the time, sacrifices, encouragement, and trust you place in us. Whether it is bringing your children to classes, attending rehearsals, or cheering from the audience, your involvement makes a lasting difference.
Your support gives children an opportunity to discover their talents, develop confidence, build friendships, and remain connected to their cultural identity.
Celebrating Our Punjabi Heritage
Our culture carries the stories, wisdom, and traditions of generations before us.
Through Bhangra, Giddha, Punjabi folk music, and cultural education, we introduce young people to an important part of their heritage while encouraging them to embrace their identities with pride.
We are grateful for the opportunity to keep these traditions alive and share their beauty with communities across Canada and beyond.
To Our Students, Teachers, and Academy Families
Our students bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into every classroom and onto every stage. Watching them overcome challenges, discover their abilities, and celebrate one another’s achievements is one of the most rewarding parts of our work.
To our instructors, thank you for sharing your knowledge, offering guidance, and inspiring the next generation of Punjabi artists.
To our Bhangra and Giddha teams, volunteers, supporters, and community partners, your friendship and commitment have helped create an environment where young people feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued.
Together, we have built more than an arts academy. We have created a community where culture brings people together and every child has an opportunity to shine.
Honouring Indigenous Peoples of Canada
This Thanksgiving, we also recognize and honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples of Canada.
We acknowledge their distinct cultures, languages, histories, and enduring connections to their traditional lands. As an organization dedicated to cultural preservation and education, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, and building respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.
Looking Ahead with Gratitude
As Royal Academy of Punjab continues its work in Surrey, Calgary, Edmonton, and New Delhi, our commitment remains the same: to provide meaningful opportunities for young people to experience Punjabi culture, develop their artistic abilities, and carry these traditions into the future.
Every performance, workshop, festival, and classroom experience becomes part of a larger story — one shaped by the people who believe in our mission.
This Thanksgiving, we celebrate not only how far we have come, but everyone who has helped us get here.
From the entire Royal Academy of Punjab family, we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful, joyful, and meaningful Thanksgiving.
