Royal Academy of Punjab Brings Punjabi Folk Arts to Canada Multiculturalism Day
The Royal Academy of Punjab was honoured to participate in the Canada Multiculturalism Day Celebration, hosted by the Sanjh Foundation at White Rock Memorial Park.
The event brought together communities from diverse cultural backgrounds to celebrate the richness of Canada’s multicultural identity through music, dance, food, and cultural experiences. Royal Academy of Punjab proudly represented Punjabi heritage with an energetic folk dance performance and interactive cultural workshops that welcomed participants of all ages.
Throughout the day, our students showcased the energy, discipline, and authenticity of traditional Punjabi folk dance, while our workshop introduced community members to the rhythms, movements, and cultural significance of Punjabi folk arts. Families, youth, and visitors had the opportunity to experience our traditions firsthand, creating meaningful cultural connections through participation and learning.
Events like these demonstrate the importance of preserving cultural heritage while building bridges between communities. We are proud to contribute to Canada’s diverse cultural landscape by sharing the traditions of Punjab in an engaging and inclusive way.
